In the first 10 months of 2023, tuna exports to Lithuania decreased by 30% reaching nearly 11 million USD, with a 33% decrease in sales of frozen tuna meat/loin and a 195% increase in canned tuna products. Vietnam is the second-largest tuna supplier for Lithuania, with 566 Vietnamese enterprises allowed to export seafood to the EU, including Lithuania. Agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and Lithuania has been quiet, but there is potential for promoting trade in goods, including seafood, to strengthen the agricultural partnership.
