China is the world's largest consumer and importer of bird's nests, accounting for 80% of global consumption. However, Vietnamese bird's nest exports to China are lacking due to price competition and a lack of clear regulations on swiftlet farming houses. Despite the quality of Vietnamese bird's nests being superior, they are more expensive than those from countries like Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. The Vietnamese government needs to review and process the management of bird raising houses, increase trade promotion programs, and improve the quality of exported bird's nests to compete in the Chinese market.
