Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports have seen a 9.5% increase in the first four months of the year, reaching US$1.35 billion, with mango exports alone bringing in 125.2 million USD, a 30.6% increase from the previous year. However, the domestic market is facing a significant issue as mango prices have dropped sharply, leading to an oversupply. As a result, mangoes are now being sold in sets or boxes instead of by weight to offset the high shipping costs. This price drop and the epidemic impact have caused difficulties for growers in southern Vietnam, particularly in An Giang and Long An provinces.
