Vietnam's processed fruit and vegetable exports have exceeded US$1.1 billion as of November 2023, marking a 19% increase from the previous year and the highest level in the country's history. Processed fruits and vegetables account for 21% of Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable exports, with main markets including the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and China. The country's local fruit processing and preservation facilities are being upgraded, but the proportion of processed fresh fruit production is still low compared to the annual harvest.
