Vietnam's tuna exports experienced a significant surge in January this year, reaching over US$79 million, a 58% increase compared to the same period in 2023, and a 46% increase from the peak in 2018. The primary export destinations included the United States, Israel, Russia, Canada, Japan, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Poland. Notably, exports to Middle Eastern countries such as Israel and Egypt saw a 43% increase, while exports to Lebanon increased thirteenfold.
