The article highlights the significance of safflower cultivation in the Volgograd, Rostov, and Saratov regions of Russia, with the Volgograd region being the fourth largest in terms of planting area. Safflower's deep root system enables it to draw moisture from deep soil layers, making it a resilient crop. In 2022, the Volgograd region exported 6.7 thousand tons of safflower to various countries, including China, Japan, Poland, and the Netherlands. The Volgograd branch of the Grain Quality Assessment Center ensures the quality and safety of each safflower batch, adhering to the importing countries' standards. The region is also investing in the construction and modernization of agricultural production facilities to enhance the technological chain of its agro-industrial complex.
