Volgograd region has become one of the leaders in the cultivation of safflower in the Russian Federation

Such a useful crop as safflower is grown in the Volgograd, Rostov and Saratov regions, while in the Volgograd region its plantings occupy the 4th place in terms of sown area. One of the main advantages of safflower is the ability to extract moisture from the deep layers of the soil thanks to a powerful root system. At the same time, the plant consumes the received moisture very sparingly. According to the Grain Quality Assessment Center, only last year 6.7 thousand tons of safflower were exported from the Volgograd region. Oilseeds are supplied from our region to different parts of the world: China, Japan, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium and other EU countries. Employees of the Volgograd branch of the Center carry out activities to assess the quality and safety of each batch of safflower in accordance with the requirements of importing countries, as well as the requirements of contracts.
