The cost of mutton in Tehran ranges from 500 to 550 thousand tomans per kilo, with other cuts like thigh, head, muscle and neck priced between 550 to 700 thousand tomans, and veal at 500 to 600 thousand tomans. Prices may vary across different regions. Masoud Rasouli, the secretary of the country's meat and protein packaging industry association, confirmed that around 250 tons of meat are imported daily under strict health, economic, and price supervision, ensuring a steady supply of meat in the country.
