Each December 5, by the disposition of the FAO, the World Soil Day is commemorated globally, a day in which the message takes on different nuances but, in essence, it is the same: we must not forget that the world's food comes from the land, and that this finite resource is in crisis. The official event in Argentina was held at the headquarters of the Professional Council of Agricultural Engineering (CPIA), in the heart of the Buenos Aires city center, where some specialists on the subject gave a local tone to the global celebration and recalled that without planning, research, or profitability, there is no soil that will last.
