The Agricultural Technology Institute has signed seedling right transfer agreements with 28 seedling companies in the province to strengthen the foundation for the distribution of new varieties, and plans to increase the cultivation area to 189ha by 2030.

The contracted area per variety is 11.9ha for Ga-eulhyang, 39.6ha for Dalkomee, 46.5ha for Woohyang, 23.4ha for Sulhyang, 33.6ha for Matnabong, and 32.4ha for Red Star.

The seedling production volume next year is a total of 65,000 stems (38.8ha worth), an increase of 15,000 stems compared to this year, with 'Woohyang' accounting for 56% of the total, receiving the most attention according to the Agricultural Technology Institute.
