Wheat reserves in Kazakhstan amount to 12.4 million tons

As of March 1, Kazakhstan's grain and legume reserves were reported to be 14.97 million tons, with 12.4 million tons being wheat. The wheat reserves included 10.5 million tons of food grain, 1.1 million tons of seed grain, and 700 thousand tons of feed grain. The country also had stocks of durum wheat, corn, rice, barley, rye, and oats. For the year 2024, the country's wheat exports were projected to be 5.9 million tons and imports 1.6 million tons. Barley exports were expected to be 1.6 million tons with imports at 211 thousand tons. Corn exports were estimated at 212 thousand tons with imports at nearly 18 thousand tons. Rice exports were projected to be 104 thousand tons with imports at 19 thousand tons.
