These holdings, which account for 20.1% of the total utilized agricultural area, are concentrated in the production of cereals, oilseeds, and protein crops, occupying 91% of the area dedicated to this category. Despite their size, they employ a relatively small number of people and are highly mechanized. The majority of these farms are market-oriented, innovative, and dependent on market conditions. The article also highlights the characteristics of farms in the vegetable production, vine cultivation, livestock, and dairy sectors, including those with specific breeds of cattle and buffaloes. It also mentions the distribution of farms based on the number of animals and their size, with a focus on those with over 300 animals.
