White cabbage export for the first time in Niğde, Turkey

White cabbage harvest continues in Niğde, one of Turkey's cabbage production centers. The international export of cabbage, which is famous for its quality and yield, started with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Niğde, which is among the leading provinces in cabbage production, is expected to yield 140,000 tons on an area of 20 thousand decares this year. Cabbage, which is the source of livelihood of Kaynarca Village in Bor district, finds buyers for 4 liras in the field. While the yield and quality of white cabbage, which is widely cultivated in Niğde center and Bor and Ulukışla districts, pleased the producers this year, white cabbage was exported for the first time. It is aimed to increase the export market by producing white cabbage, which is exported to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2 batches, in sizes requested from abroad.
