On October 9, 1925, the Unión Tamberos Cooperativa Limitada Association was formed in the town of Las Tunas. From that small town between San Jerónimo Norte and Franck, in Santa Fe, near Esperanza, the first agricultural colony, emerged the first national dairy cooperative company, from which Milkaut emerged in 1936, a company that has belonged to the Savencia group for over a decade. With a formal ceremony, this Thursday in Las Tunas, a commemorative plaque of the centenary will be unveiled and in just over a week, with a dinner, the anniversary will be celebrated. Although it no longer has its own milk processing after the sale of the dairy industry, the Cooperative has managed to adapt, to continue providing the initial service to its producers.
