WIO: farmers observe another significant increase in prices of mineral fertilizers

Experts predict that from 2026, the fertilizer market may again enter a phase of rising prices – emphasizes Wielkopolska Agricultural Chamber (WIR) in its report. WIR points out on its portal that in recent months, farmers have been observing a significant increase in the prices of mineral fertilizers, which translates into higher agricultural production costs. It also recalls that the National Council of Agricultural Chambers has appealed to the Minister of Agriculture for the urgent introduction of a compensation mechanism for agricultural producers due to the sharp rise in mineral fertilizer prices. In response, the ministry – as we wrote (material under the link next to it) – conveyed that it does not plan to provide subsidies for fertilizer purchases in the near future.
