Brazil's soybean crop is projected to reach 155 million tonnes in 2022/23, potentially hitting 160 million tonnes if it were not for a drought in Rio Grande do Sul due to the La Niña weather phenomenon, according to Agroconsult. The drought affected the state's productivity, but advances in production have been noted in eight states, with Mato Grosso showing the most improvement. With Argentina's break in oilseed crop and favorable weather, Brazilian soybean exports are expected to reach a record 96.1 million tons. In addition, Brazilian corn production and exports are also expected to hit record highs, with a projected harvest of 125.5 million tons and shipments potentially reaching 51.9 million tons.
