Zimbabwe plans to harvest 600 thsd tons

According to the 2025 Winter Crops Plan, Zimbabwe plans to harvest 600,000 tonnes of wheat from 120,000 hectares, 39,000 tonnes of barley from 6,500 hectares and 236,000 tonnes of potatoes from 8,700 hectares. 29,372 hectares of wheat have been sown so far, with the largest area in Mashonaland West Province. The country’s grain reserves are adequate, a Cabinet briefing was held on May 20, 2025. The government will provide resources for the Grain Marketing Board (GMB) to ensure timely payment for grain deliveries.
