Australian Citrus Tree Census Outlook in the Next 5 Years (Mar 13)
Due to the Special Integrated Pest Management and packing house regulations, only 30% of Australian citruses were exported to Korea, China, and Thailand. Only 75% of Australia's citrus trees were producing fruit, prompting the industry to urge for higher exports to ensure the industry's long-term sustainability. It is expected that by 2028, there will be 125K extra tons of excess oranges and 128K extra tons of surplus mandarins.
