In W27 in the plum and prune landscape, the Statistical Agency reports that Uzbek plum exports from Jan-23 to May-23 amounted to 3.5 thousand metric tons (mt), valued at USD 1.6 million – an increase of 52.1% compared to the same period in 2022. Uzbek plum exports surged by 1.3 thousand mt when compared to the corresponding period in 2022, indicating the resilience and growth of the Uzbek plum production sector. Kazakhstan remains the primary destination for Uzbek plum exports, with plum imports amounting to 2.1 thousand mt in the first five months of 2023.

The initial shipment of European stone fruits for the 2023 season arrived at Santos Port in Brazil during W26. These fruits were expected to be available in the Brazilian market at the start of W27. The CIF-Santos plum prices range from USD 14.19-16.37/9kg box, with calibers ranging from 50-65mm (all CAT1). The European stone fruit arrival marks the beginning of their availability in Brazil, and they are forecasted to be accessible in the market until Oct-23.
