In W36 in the jackfruit landscape, on Tuesday, September 5, the price of Thai jackfruit in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, increased by USD 0.041 per kilogram (kg) compared to the previous day. In Tiền Giang, Nhat jackfruit was priced at USD 1.74/kg, large Kem jackfruit at USD 1.66/kg, and small Kem jackfruit at USD 1.24/kg. In the Chợ Lách district of the Bến Tre province, Thai jackfruit has two basic types: super early Thai jackfruit and green-skinned Thai Changai jackfruit. The green-skinned Thai Changai jackfruit are known for producing fruits with minimal blemishes and thorns. Furthermore, this variety is less tart and offers the significant advantage of high productivity.

On September 9, Thai jackfruit prices in the Mekong Delta remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive day. Despite the lack of recent price increases, many growers were satisfied as the current price allowed for high profits. In Tiền Giang, Nhat jackfruit was priced at USD 1.74/kg to USD 1.78/kg, large Kem jackfruit at USD 1.66/kg, and small Kem jackfruit was sold at USD 1.24/kg.

However, on September 10, Thai jackfruit prices in the Mekong Delta experienced a decline, dropping by USD 0.041/kg. In Tiền Giang, Nhat jackfruit was priced at USD 1.74/kg, a decrease of USD 0.041/kg, large Kem jackfruit was priced at USD 1.62/kg, down by USD 0.041/kg, but small Kem jackfruit prices remained unchanged at USD 1.24/kg. Unlike in previous years, farmers are currently paying extra attention to their Thai jackfruit due to the high prices and the demand for early, high-yield fruit sales. Selling the lowest-quality fruit can result in a profit of USD 0.29/kg, while selling the best-quality fruit can yield a profit of USD 1.33/kg.
