First Export of Red Tan Lac Grapefruit From Vietnam to the UK (Nov 28)

The first batch of 5,400 red Tan Lac grapefruit from Hoa Binh province (Vietnam) was exported to the United Kingdom on November 24. According to the vice-chairman of the provincial People's Committee Dinh Cong Su, this is the result of the joint effort of the provincial horticultural sector, the cooperatives, and the local population in Tan Lac district. "The exportation of this fruit will be a great encouragement to local farms to strive for more export shipments of other horticultural products," he added. The district grows citrus, including orange and grapefruit, on 1,523 hectares, of which 1,420 hectares are for companies with an estimated yield of 22,200 tons.

Grapefruit Market Prices for Different Origins in the Dutch Market in W47 (Nov 29)

The market for juice oranges in the Netherlands for W47 remained unchanged compared to W46, as it is still dominated by South African oranges with low prices for all varieties and sizes. In comparison to W46, the grapefruit market in W47 is constant and unchanged. The Star Ruby red grapefruit's price for Spanish origin stands at USD 16.56/15kg for all sizes, and for Turkish origin, the price stands at USD 14.49/15kg for all sizes.
