In a concerted effort between March 20 and April 5, Italian regulatory bodies including the ICQRF, Carabinieri Command, Port Authority, Financial Police, and Customs and Monopolies Agency inspected over 8,100 tonnes of agri-food products, focusing particularly on the cereal sector. These inspections aimed to ensure the safety, quality, and proper labeling of products, leading to the seizure of mislabeled durum wheat semolina, unauthorized artichokes, and falsely labeled Italian garlic. This initiative highlights the Italian government's dedication to safeguarding the integrity of Made in Italy products and enforcing health standards and traceability.
