"2025 Year Kiwi Harvest Event in Samsun"

In Samsun's Çarşamba district, the "2025 Harvest Event" was held. Coordinated by the Samsun Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, in collaboration with the Çarşamba Chamber of Agriculture and the Çarşamba Kiwi Producers Association, the "2025 Harvest Event" was organized in Kurtahmetli Neighborhood. Stating that 13,599 tons of kiwi were produced in 5,646 decares in Samsun in 2024, Samsun Director of Agriculture and Forestry Kemal Yılmaz said, "Kiwi production in Turkey, as of 2024, is carried out in 28 provinces, predominantly in the Black Sea Region. This situation stems from the region's precipitation regime, soil structure, and climatic characteristics. In 2024, 13,599 tons of kiwi were produced in 5,646 decares in Samsun. Nationwide, a total of 92,249 tons of production was realized in 41,983 decares. Approximately 15 percent of the production areas are in Samsun.
