The Ministry of Rural Development and Food, the payment agency OPEKEPE, and the Greek Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) announced additional payments totaling 487.9 million euros for Greek farmers, distributed among 485,896 beneficiaries. Thus, the payments made to agricultural producers from January 1, 2025, to date, amount to 3.2 billion euros. By the end of the month, it is expected that approximately 600 million euros more will be disbursed, according to Greece's agricultural ministry. Within these payments, 208.6 million euros went to the primary support of 482,853 beneficiaries. They received 363.4 million euros as an advance payment earlier in the year. Thus, the total payment for primary support for 2025 amounts to 572 million euros.
