A 'ban' has come to Ferrero

The Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler's long-pursued Ferrero case has resulted in a historic judicial decision. The Ankara 15th Administrative Court canceled the commitments submitted by the Italian Ferrero company to the Competition Authority in March 2024, stating that it "did not provide a reliable guarantee." With the decision, Ferrero was prohibited from purchasing, processing, and exporting hazelnuts in Turkey. The company can only import from Turkey. The Court Did Not Find Ferrero's Commitment Convincing In the lawsuit filed by the ORTAR organization of the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and a local hazelnut company based in Ordu, a decision closely affecting the hazelnut sector was made.
