Argentina's dairy exports in December 2022 saw growth, with over 411,000 tonnes exported, marking a 4.1% increase in volume and a 24.4% increase in value, amounting to approximately 3.000 million litres of milk, which was 26% of the country's total production. The main destinations for these exports were Brazil, Argelia, and Chile, with the majority being leche en polvo. Despite this positive performance, the country faces challenges such as drought, increased costs of balanced products, and inadequate conditions for good recía for the spring. The current international market prices, around US$ 3,400 to US$ 3,500/ton for whole milk powder, are generating a purchase power significantly below current producer prices due to export rights and a strongly delayed change rate for dividend liquidation.
