The São Paulo Wheat Sector Chamber has revised the forecast for the next wheat harvest due to hot and dry weather conditions, expecting a production of approximately 300 thousand tons. The situation is of concern due to the potential impact on both production and industry, with challenges such as reduced crop quality and disease incidence. Despite these challenges, Brazil's wheat is well received in global markets, and the country has the potential to export around 1.5 million tons. Globally, the wheat market is grappling with consumption exceeding production, with China, India, and Europe facing challenges, while the US and Australia are expected to increase production. Argentina, a key supplier to Brazil, is projected to have a significant increase in its harvest, ensuring supply to the Brazilian market.
