This year, the agricultural firm "Olgopil" has focused on strategic directions—winter wheat, barley, and rapeseed. The company's press service announced the introduction of a new crop into the crop rotation—winter peas. The largest share in the sowing structure was taken by winter wheat—2022 hectares. Winter rapeseed was sown on 1098 hectares, and winter barley on 200 hectares. "Climate change forces us to adapt not only technologies but also the structure of sowing. We are deliberately increasing the areas under winter wheat—it is the base crop of our economy. Also, rapeseed traditionally remains a strategic crop for us, as it shows stable results in our climatic conditions," comments Pavlo Kalenych, director of the agricultural firm.
