In October 2021, Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, and fishery exports saw a decrease of 15.6% from October 2020 but an increase of 4.2% from September 2021, totaling over US$3.4 billion. From January to October 2021, exports reached nearly 38.8 billion USD, marking a 13.1% increase year-over-year. The US remains the largest market for these exports, with nearly 3.3 billion USD.
Notably, despite a decrease in volume, pepper exports experienced a 44.2% increase in value due to a significant rise in average export price. Other products like coffee, livestock, shrimp, and wood products also saw increases in value. The US continues to be the largest importer of Vietnam's agricultural products, with cotton being the most valued import.
