An investor from Uzbekistan - the company "PetAgroOil" - is investing 33.7 billion tenge in the construction of a low-extraction plant in Lisakovsk (Kostanay Region of Kazakhstan), reports the APK News agency.
"Today, the investor, represented by the company 'PetAgroOil' from the Republic of Uzbekistan, has registered a Kazakhstani enterprise, LLP 'Lisakovsky Oil Extraction Plant'. The land plot has been identified. Currently, active work is being conducted with the initiator to conclude an investment contract," said Abay Ibrayev, head of Lisakovsk, at a meeting of the Kostanay Region akimat.
According to information provided at the akimat, the plant for processing sunflower and rapeseed will cost 33 billion 700 million tenge.
The project's production capacity will be about 90,000 tons of oil per year, with a raw material processing volume of 200,000 tons per year - 170,000 tons of sunflower and 30,000 tons of rapeseed.
At present, project implementation has begun. The plant's commissioning is scheduled for December 2026.
