The Bulgarian Greenhouse Producers Association warns of a new price increase for vegetables by around 5% next year, reported "Nova TV." According to the association's management, a larger price increase is unlikely because imports exert strong pressure on the market. Industry experts emphasize that the reason is not the introduction of the euro, but the increasing costs of labor and energy, which directly affect the cost of production. Greenhouse producers comment that Bulgarian tomatoes and cucumbers will be on the market for about another month. After that, 90% of the greenhouses will remain empty during the winter.
