Argentina experienced a significant decrease in sunflower processed product exports in August due to low supply and unprofitable processing margins. Sunflower oil exports fell to 41 thousand tons from 107 thousand tons in July, and sunflower meal exports decreased to 29 thousand tons from 65 thousand tons. The country also halted sunflower oil shipments to China. The decrease in exports is attributed to unfavorable weather conditions, which have limited sunflower sowing to 9.9% of the planned area.
