Starting March 1, 2025, Argentina will gradually implement the National Individual Electronic Traceability System in its livestock industry, replacing the current manual system. Initially focusing on bovines, buffalos, and cervids, the system aims to improve industry efficiency and global competitiveness. Financed by international organizations, the system will be mandatory by July 1, 2026, and will be supported by a free mobile application for producers. The system is expected to meet the requirements of major international markets, including the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia.
