At the beginning of May, reserves of grain and leguminous crops in Kazakhstan amounted to 9.62 million tons

As of May 1 of this year, 7.78 million tons of wheat were available in Kazakhstan. This is 12% lower than last year (8.84 million tons), reports the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As the statistical department clarified, of the total volume of wheat, about 5.5 million tons are food, 1.3 million tons are feed and about 993 thousand tons are seed. Also, as of this date, 1.23 million tons of barley were available (against 1.3 million tons as of May 1, 2023), 18 thousand tons of rye (against 28 thousand tons), 100 thousand tons of oats (versus 110 thousand tons).
