Rice Commission member elections were held in Bafra district of Samsun. In the elections held in the meeting hall of Bafra Chamber of Agriculture, 1,571 of the 2,620 registered rice producers cast their votes. In the election where two candidates competed, rice producer Hamza Bayrak from Koruluk Neighborhood received 822 votes and was elected as a member of the Rice Commission. Bayrak will serve for a period of 3 years. In the election, Mecit Aytek from Kaygusuz Neighborhood received 741 votes, while 8 votes were deemed invalid.
