Bashkiria doubled exports of granulated sunflower meal in Russia

In 2023, producers of granulated sunflower meal from Bashkiria doubled the export of their products. From January to December last year, 175.266 thousand tons of granulated sunflower meal shipped by oil extraction enterprises of Bashkiria to the countries of the European and Customs Unions were monitored. A valuable high-protein feed additive, a by-product of processing sunflower seeds into vegetable oil, is in high demand among livestock breeders in Belarus, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway and other European countries. “Compared to 2022, the volume of exports of feed additives from the region has almost doubled - from 95.48 thousand tons to 175.266 thousand tons.
