Be8, a biodiesel sector company based in Passo Fundo (RS), announced on Thursday, the 27th, the signing of the contract for the acquisition of the biodiesel production unit of União Agroindustrial, located in Alto Araguaia (MT), formerly Fênix Biodiesel, strategically positioned to serve the main consumer regions of the Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast. The value of the deal was not disclosed. According to a statement from the company, the acquisition expands Be8's leadership in the biodiesel market, with a 16.7% growth in installed capacity, which now stands at 1.71 billion liters per year. With the acquisition, the company reinforces its national position, reaching approximately 15% market share and significantly expanding its strategic presence as a renewable energy supplier in Brazil.
