Beef prices remain stable in São Paulo

According to the analysis released on Tuesday (25) in the newsletter “Tem Boi na Linha” by Scot Consultoria, the prices of fattened cattle remained stable in the markets of São Paulo. The consultancy pointed out that “there was still a scenario of indecision among buyers,” with some of them not indicating values to acquire cattle, while some industries offered amounts lower than the references. Despite this, few deals were closed at these levels, which prevented changes in the quotations of the categories in the state. According to the newsletter, “this scenario of indecision seems to have been favored by two news items” that influenced the market in less than a week: the withdrawal of the 40% tariff on Brazilian beef by the United States and the postponement, to January 26, of the safeguard investigation conducted by the Chinese government.
