The cattle slaughter in Argentina grew by 2.3% in October of this year, compared to the previous month, according to a survey by the Consortium of Argentine Beef Exporters (ABC). In the tenth month of the year, 1.201 million heads of cattle were slaughtered, a volume that, compared to October 2024, marks a decrease of 6.4%. Meanwhile, considering the accumulated January-October of this year, 11.40 million cattle were slaughtered; 1.2% less than the 11.53 million that had been slaughtered between January and October of 2024. Regarding beef production in October 2025, "it resulted in close to 278.6 thousand tons equivalent bone-in beef, which implies a moderate increase of 2.3% compared to the month of September; and a moderate decrease of 4.9%, in relation to October of the year 2024," detailed Mario Ravettino, president of the ABC Consortium.
