[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Jo Sung-je] Bonghwa County visited the Hoabanh District People's Committee office in Da Nang, Vietnam, on the 21st to sign a "Memorandum of Understanding on the Introduction of Foreign Seasonal Workers for 2026." Regarding this, Bonghwa County stated that the signing ceremony was attended by over 40 people, including Bonghwa County Mayor Park Hyun-gook, the Chairman of the Hoabanh District People's Committee, relevant officials from both countries, and representatives for friendly exchanges. This event served as an occasion to reaffirm and further solidify the existing friendly cooperative relationship with the former Hoabanh District following the Vietnamese government's administrative reorganization (effective July 1, 2025). According to Bonghwa County, this agreement is intended to address the difficulties posed by rural aging and a persistent shortage of labor.
