The Canadian government has approved the import of fertile eggs, day-old chicks, and live birds from Brazil, following recent trade agreements that have also opened the Lesotho market to Brazilian poultry meat. This marks the second major trade breakthrough with Lesotho in a short time and is part of Brazil's broader strategy to diversify its agricultural export markets and reduce dependence on a few trading partners. So far, Brazil has managed to open markets for 144 new agricultural products in 51 countries, showcasing the quality and trustworthiness of its agricultural production. This trade expansion is anticipated to boost Brazilian agricultural development in Lesotho and create new business opportunities for Brazilian producers, serving as a potential gateway to other African markets.
