Brazil: SC Breaks Record in Pork Meat Exports and Boosts Agribusiness

Santa Catarina reached a historic milestone in pork meat exports in June and in the accumulated first half of 2025, consolidating its national leadership in the sector. The state exported 369.2 thousand tons of pork meat between January and June, generating a record revenue of US$ 904.1 million — the best result in the historical series since 1997, both in volume and value. In June, 69.8 thousand tons of pork meat were exported, moving US$ 178 million, the highest monthly billing volume ever recorded by the sector and the second-best performance in the historical series in volume. The growth was driven by strong demand from Asian countries such as Japan, China, and the Philippines. Japan was the main highlight, with a 58.1% growth in revenues compared to the first half of 2024.
