The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil, in collaboration with various institutions, has released the Cachaça Yearbook 2024, highlighting key data and trends in the cachaça industry for the year 2023. The report reveals a 7.8% increase in the number of cachaçarias, with Minas Gerais leading as the state with the highest number of registrations. There was also an 18.5% increase in the total number of registered products. Exports of cachaça saw a slight increase of 0.7%, reaching a value of US$ 20,242,453, with the United States and Europe being the primary markets. The cachaça industry also contributed to the generation of job opportunities, with a total of 134,678 direct jobs in 2023, primarily in the Southeast region.
