Brazil x USA: Minister highlights impact of the end of additional tariffs

Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, stated this Thursday (20) that the decision of the United States to withdraw the additional tariffs on Brazilian agricultural products represents an advancement in the relations between the two countries. According to him, the announcement confirms that "the technical and institutional dialogue has resumed its natural course." Fávaro declared that the measure brings security to the agribusiness and to international markets. For the minister, the decision shows that the bilateral negotiations have evolved in a technical manner after a period of tension. "As President Lula says, there is no prohibited subject. Everything is possible in high-level dialogue," he stated.
