In 2023, Brazilian pecan farmers had a successful year due to high demand both nationally and internationally, leading to high prices and optimism for producers. The Brazilian Pecan Farming Institute president, Eduardo Basso, emphasized the integration of the sector with Argentines and Uruguayans in order to create common strategies for the development of pecaniculture. The sector has strong expectations for 2024, including improving pecan nut quality, increasing productivity and maintaining competitive prices in the international market.
