Bread in Ukraine may rise in price to 55 UAH: forecast

By December, the price of a standard loaf of bread could reach 55 hryvnias, and one of the factors contributing to this is that the raw materials and production capacities are primarily Ukrainian, which will help reduce the cost of the product. This was stated by the chief consultant of the National Institute of Strategic Studies, Ivan Uss, as reported by Informatsiya. According to him, an important factor in the price increase could be fuel, which, if it becomes more expensive, will cause bread prices to rise. The increase will not be rapid and will grow gradually, but by the end of the year, it is inevitable. If the enterprises of the bakery industry are subjected to a massive strike of missiles and drones, then due to the decrease in supply, prices may rise more sharply.
