Breeding geese and ducks has become a niche segment of poultry farming.

The breeding of geese and ducks currently shows signs of being a niche production. This was stated by Serhiy Karpenko, the executive director of the "Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine," in an interview with the magazine "Our Poultry Farming," as reported by agrotimes.ua. According to him, these areas were negatively affected even before the military aggression, during the period of quarantine restrictions—industrial production of these products has a higher cost due to the breeding periods and is oriented towards the solvent population.
