The Common Agricultural Policy must remain an independent, strong, and adequately financed policy to more successfully address the goals of digital and technological transformation in agriculture. Maintaining a separate, firmly fixed budget will provide predictability and security for farmers and will encourage them to remain in the sector. Achieving full external convergence of direct payments must be fairly valued and fully supplemented by the budget for income support interventions. This is stated in the position of our country, which will be presented on Thursday during the Council of Agriculture Ministers in Brussels.
