The article highlights the concerns of Romania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic regarding the exclusion of table potatoes from the list of products eligible for coupled support. The country expressed their concerns during a meeting of the Council of European Union for Agriculture and Fisheries. The focus of the meeting was on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which aims to make the European food system more sustainable, fair, and competitive. The member states approved a preliminary agreement for the most ambitious CAP agreement to date, which includes a modernized CAP, respect for social and labor rights, and increased support for climate-friendly agriculture. Bulgaria expressed satisfaction with the compromise on the level of support for coupled support, set at 13 + 2%.
