The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply of Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of bread wheat of optional origin at an international tender, with a planned purchase of 120,000 tons, reported the online publication APK-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The wheat was purchased for $263 per ton C&F from the Bulgarian company Buildcom. For comparison – at the last successful tender for the import of bread wheat in Jordan, held 3 weeks ago (with 2 unsuccessful ones in the meantime), the delivery of 60,000 tons of optional origin was agreed upon, with a planned 120,000 tons, for $263.85 per ton C&F, with Bulgarian grain then having the next lowest offer, and at the tender in Algeria last week, about 900,000 tons of bread wheat of optional origin were purchased, with a planned minimum of 50,000 tons, for $255-256 per ton C&F.
