JAKARTA — The President Director of Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, conveyed that the construction of 100 new warehouses is a strategic step to smooth the absorption of the 2026 harvest results. The Rp 5 trillion project is a direct assignment from President Prabowo Subianto to strengthen food infrastructure in the regions. Rizal emphasized that the program is prioritized for food-producing regions that do not yet have adequate storage facilities. Rice and corn-producing areas are the main targets to ensure that the harvest is not wasted and can be optimally absorbed by Bulog. “The expectation is that by March (2026), these warehouses will be able to be built, so that the March to May harvest can directly enter the new warehouses,” he said when met at the National Food Agency (Bapanas) office, Jakarta, on Monday (13/10/2025).
